Sports Video Group Establishes Hall of Fame for Sports Broadcasting and Technology Executives
'Inaugural Class of Broadcast Leaders and Pioneers Introduced'

NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 2007

The Sports Video Group (SVG) established the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame today, the first of its kind to honor executives from the worlds of sports, technology and broadcasting.

Additionally, the first class of inductees were announced and will be presented with the coveted lifetime achievement honor at the SVG Annual League Technology Summit held at the New York Hilton Hotel on Dec. 11, 2007.

"The inaugural class represents the high ideals of sports broadcasters who made sports television the economic and cultural powerhouse it is today," said Ken Aagaard, chairman of both the SVG and the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame, who is also CBS Sports senior vice president, Operations and Production Services. "This marks the first-time ever the entire spectrum of professionals will be represented, from on-air talent who have redefined the nature of sports journalism, to network and league management that had a vision of what sports broadcasting could be and to the technical and production personnel who helped make those visions reality."

The 11 inductees were chosen for their unique contributions to the advancement of the sports broadcasting industry. A panel of 44 industry leaders participated in two rounds of voting to determine the inductees.

The inaugural class of the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame was selected this past summer in a series of votes by a Blue Ribbon panel of more than 40 sports industry leaders from the worlds of sports, professional leagues and teams, sports broadcast management. The 2007 class of inductees include:
