NEP International Events Group (IEG) - Linear Edit Systems
Modularized Fly-Pack Edit system designed into packaged components that are specifically suited for shipping and ease of on-site set-up. These systems can work at 110 or 220VAC and in 525 or 625 countries. Pre-made wiring harnesses make set-up occur quickly and effortlessly. Normal setup time is 4-6 hours for 2 persons. There are 7 venue style and 8 IBC (which have different consoles and are more conducive to long-term set-ups) style rooms.
These rooms offer the ultimate in all-digital editing and routing in a very flexible configuration. The routing and design allows for the most powerful flypack editing system we've seen on the road. The MAV and VTR setup allows for very fast turnaround editing that is well proven at two Olympics. You can start editing from the MAV before you've stopped recording! NEP/NBC prefers to supply a freelance maintenance engineer for any location edit setup.
Systems include all consoles, racks and support equipment needed. Setup works best in a 12-foot wide trailer (approximately 12'x16' room), but can be made to work in a longer 8' or 10' wide space if necessary. These rooms are based on embedded audio and expect digital ins and outs. The package includes "Venue Interface Packs" that allow usage with analog trucks and take care of all of the embedding and de-embedding of the audio in a concise, simple interface pack. The rooms fully support 8 channels of audio if using IMX VTR's. They are wired for taking in 4-8 inputs from either the plant router, or the truck. These feeds go into the internal routing switcher within the room. A separate Release Output from that router feeds back to the plant or truck.
The rooms use internally generated IFB and embedded audio for the Voice Over Booths. This minimizes hum and buzz between the truck and the edit suite. All associated equipment for the edit suite & the truck to use the Voice Over Booths is supplied as part of the package.
