Staff Mobile Unit Engineer (Pennsylvania)
The purpose of this position is to participate in engineering training and assist in maintaining, updating, and providing the normal maintenance activities required for an NEP mobile unit to meet client requirements and operate up to NEP standards. Position Responsibilities: • Manages and monitors the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events. • Performs preventative maintenance and trouble shooting and executes changes and engineering updates on the mobile unit • Performs regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit. • Tracks and reports on equipment and system repair and maintenance status. • Follows through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates. • Provides on-site client service and technical support. • Maintains and files the proper expense reports and technical reports on a per show or other designated basis. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Degree or technical training in Engineering preferred. • 2 years experience in broadcast engineering or related position. • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks. • Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in mobile television facilities desirable. • Demonstrated skills and experience in technical aspects of on site television production with progressive broadcast equipment. • Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support. Freelance Mobile Unit Driver (Pennsylvania and California locations)
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the mobile unit to the proper location and to operate and maintain the mobile unit up to NEP standards in order to guarantee client satisfaction. Position Responsibilities: • Drives mobile unit to event location within Federal Motor Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. • Assists with set up, strike, and loading of the mobile unit in cooperation with engineers and technicians. • Performs regular maintenance and cleaning activities on the mobile unit. • May provide on site client service and technical support. • Ensures that all registrations, inspections and other related documents for the mobile unit are current and up to date. • Ensures that operator’s licenses required Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and medical exams and any other related certification as a professional driver are up to date. • Represents NEP to clients in a courteous and professional manner. • Communicates regularly with Fleet Manager about service or repairs needed for mobile unit. • Maintains accurate driving logs and trip reports on assignment activities and submits them to Fleet Coordinator. • Submits expense reports to operations coordinator. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Must be reliable, able to work a flexible schedule, and attentive to safety and federal laws • Driver Training Certification through an accredited CDL driver training program desired and at least 3 years experience preferred. • Requires a Class A CDL. • Must possess a current FMCSA physical exam card and is subject to federal regulations for random drug testing and any other required medical exams. • Demonstrated skills in broadcast engineering and knowledge of television broadcast technology and equipment desired. Cable/Shop Maintenance Technician (Corona, CA)
The purpose of this position is to provide cable maintenance and assist with shop operations at NEP Screenworks to ensure that the department efficiently meets the company’s business objectives and our client’s needs. Position Responsibilities: •Work with Vice President, Operations and Shop Supervisor on carrying out proper cable/shop maintenance. •Perform cable repair for LED and Video Departments. •Perform soldering of cable. •Complete inventory and barcode all of NEP Screenworks cable. •Properly store cable, determine the maintenance requirements needed and facilitate its repair. •Work in concert with Inventory Control to maximize the organization of cable inventory for on site storage as it relates to departmental work flow. •Assist in maintaining an organized and clean field shop •Assist in other shop activities as needed. •Provide transportation of equipment for maintenance/repair to local off site locations. •Represent the company to clients and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. •Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •Technical or Associates Degree preferred. •2 years formal training and prior industry experience a plus. •Excellent organization and communication skills are essential. •Must be able to work as part of a team. •Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs and handle multiple tasks. •Some experience in a shop environment desirable. •Travel may be required. Operations Assistant (Corona, CA)
The purpose of this position, which is located in our Screenworks division in California, is to provide administrative and operations coordination support to the Director of Operations. Position Responsibilities: •Performs and coordinates operations administrative activities for the Director of Operations of the division. •Organizes and maintains paper and electronic files as required. •Produces correspondence and disseminates information to appropriate parties as directed. •Updates weekly reports including crew schedules, event lists, and events reports. •Provides operational support, database management and produces appropriate documents and reports to appropriate parties. •Utilizes working knowledge of all equipment and usage flow. •Other duties as assigned or required. Assistant Controller (Pennsylvania)
The purpose of this position is to supervise over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls. Position Responsibilities: • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information for NEP’s domestic operating divisions in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. • Evaluate the performance of the appropriate staff in the Accounting Department providing training and mentorship as needed. This individual recommends training requirements, has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives, and may recommend that personnel be hired or removed from the Department. • Maintain the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets. • Establish major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepares reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations. • Coordinate and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts for NEP’s domestic operations with a focus on the Supershooters Division, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyzes and reports variances working closely with the Corporate Controller, CFO and management within each operating division. • Ensure, plan and coordinate compliance of all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes. • Furnish internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary. • Determine depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions. • Oversee all fixed asset activity for domestic divisions --- oversee activity of new Staff Accountant charged with maintaining FAS fixed asset database. • Develop and implement cost control/reduction programs. • Oversee US payroll and accounts payable activity. • Coordinate the annual 401K audit with Human Resources and the outsider auditor. • Provide effective financial controls for the entire organization supporting all activities of the Corporate Controller & CFO. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related major required. • CPA certification preferred. • 6 + years of experience in financial management. • Excellent computer skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work with co-workers and to manage employees in accounting disciplines.
